Carlos Curti happy camper after 40 miles flight!!!

This Weekend and the last have been wonderful, we have ceiling of 5k+, Last weekend Jorge flew all over tagging a fly of 1.5 hrs +, Jozsef did a nice flight going down wing and manage to come back to take off point.

Now this weekend Carlos Curtis make a new distant record flying from South Bay to Stuart a 40K miles in 2.5 hrs.

Pilots, my friend David Prentice in on the way to Florida to host once again the Spring Flint and the ECPC there will be over 30 pilots from all over for two comp and also we are having the SIV clinic, don't let this opportunity fly by and com to fly with us.( more info at www.earthcog.com)

Oct 30-31 Tow Pad La Belle

Saturday:

The day Beautifully but conditions crappy, we have an inversion of cool air pushing all the thermal activity down I flew three time into this rough bumbling air I saw the tow plane taking the HG up to 2k and then ride down and get bid up by the low thermal activity.

Sunday:

A day way better with the wind convergent right there at the Ridge I got cloud base at 5K ft. and was able to go any where I want with a little drift to SW.

Joel did solo two times, (congrats), Ouri manage to takeoff down wing doing an excellent job to overcome the problem and managing very good.

Jozsef have a up and down second takeoff after the weak link broke on the first try. causing him to roll over and getting all scratches from the pave road. was not that bad and he will be flying next weekend.

Oct 9-10 Lexinton Tow Pad at FL Ridge

We have two amazing flying days with base over 6K.
On Sat 9 Joel did tow me up and I get to try my new wing Synergy 4 and the Harness CX2 Pro.
Joel our new member started on his first hand towing and will be very soon flying; he is waiting for his new gear a Ellus3, Spring Harness and reserve.
Jozsef have his first encounter with a strong thermal and managed very good.
On Sunday
We have other two pilots Steve Tisdale and Johnny Perez join our group (Luis, Joel, Mauricio).
Steve and Mauricio they flew all over the tow pad cloud base (6K+) and later I join them. Mauricio and I flew to Florida ridge. I forgot to mention that Joel flew in a tandem with me where he did have the opportunity to flight in to a thermal and practice some control.

I will be out From Oct 15 to Oct 26.

Nov 29, Flying

Hi Pilots;
This past Sunday we have an amazing flying day, 4 pilots show up to 827SR, Jorge Larrauri,Jozsef Vizi, Ouri Kahn and Patrick Ameglio.
Jorge did a 11 miles to Clewiston, and Jozsef,Patrick and Ouri have flown over 2hrs jumping from cloud to cloud. Later Ouri landed and tow me up to join Patrick and Jozsef.
The cloud base was over 4k ft. wind was 3 miles SE, then afternoon changed to N but 4 miles.

Nov 21-22 Flying

We have a incredible day Saturday; at 9:40am Ouri went for a try and ended with a 1.3 hrs fly time we have other pilots achieving good flights too.

November Activities

Pilots;
We will having a SIV on Nov 6,7,8 and also the Team Challenge XC from Nov 9, thrue 14th.
The SIV location will be at Lake Jackson, Sebring FL and the Team challenge XC will be at Florida Ridge (Base)

Weekend 20-21- Dec 2008

We went to fly Saturday and John Di Chiara and Patrick ride a nice thermal, Hector was out of the mood and stalls the wing at the takeoff, Jorge and Jozsef have a nice flight too.
On Sunday Jozsef and Jorge we went to Florida Ridge and Jorge flew from towpath to the Ridge, Jozsef was achieving over one and half time flying.

Guys is we get enough people we can have another SIV the days Nov 21,22,23 so please let me know who is in for the SIV the price will be $450.00 and will be instructed by David Prentice and I.

SIV And Team Challenge

SIV is $450 for three days including the towing and instruction.
We will be towing at little lake Harris near Leesburg Nov, 7,8,9 then the team challenge the 10 thru the 15th.
